I’m 19
My dad has got me renault clio 2002,
I haven’t passed my test just yet sooo
If I wanted to drive the car now i will need to get provisional drivers insurance.
I have my test booked for the 5th of october,
So really, if i was to pass my test
getting provisional insurance will be pointless? as, if i was to pass i will no longer have a provisional
So does that mean i wont be able to legally drive the car if i was insured as a provisional driver?
That make sense?

Insurance will not prevent you driving if you pass. You can ask for short term insurance while you are learning. It will be more expensive pro rata, and you may not pass as you expect. There won’t be too much in it as insurers will still load you up even if you pass as you will have little experience and zero no claims bonus.
