Well, it’s closer to the reality of what insurance is about. But that wasn’t what I said. I said that insurance companies should emulate Allstate’s former capaign and the brilliant Subaru commercial with the little girl getting the keys remind the morons on the roads of this country that putting a key in the ignition makes you responsible for the lives of many.
If they truly were comical, I might appreciate them, but 99% of tv commercials that attempt to be amusing simply aren’t.

An even dumber campaign from Allstate, because even if you are a good driver your rates go up anyway, and their justification is they have to pay for the bad drivers…that is, YOU have to pay for them.

What really kills me is eSurance pays someone to maintain this YouTube account. They could, and should delete most of these comments.
The best ad campaign ever for car insurance was the Allstate campaign that basically said “quit driving like morons you nimrods. Shape up.” We have 13 9.11s a year via drunk drivers. Allstate has had some great print campaigns showing 9 747s with teens lining up to board. The number who die each year in car accidents. Text away, talk away, thin the herd.
I’ve been in advertising for over 35 years and have not seen a campaign I despise as much as this. The animated space age stuff was truly ok, which is pretty high on the curve of the drivel being produced by the 20 year olds your agency hires to write this horrible, insulting, unfunny, poorly acted, poorly shot and obviously quite poorly tested commercials. But some moronic suit, or teams of them at Esurance greenlighted this blight on society. Fire your agency. Fire your marketing director.

@laughingcrows how can ads make a company more corrupt? And did you pull 90% out of the air or is that an actual figure documented somewhere. Granted i will say i do see alot of the first 4 you listed but in no way is it 9 out of every 10 commercials i see. And finally no one is coming here to “suck up to them” people are coming here to watch something and/or comment on something they find humorous, not humorous, or something else.
